Repository
Institutional repository is a set of services the university offers to members of it's community. These services enable  managing and wide spreading the documents created by the institution and it's members.
Repository is most of all the institution's obligation to administer digital materials, considering long-term object security, as well as organising access to them, and disseminating them.


Repolis is a repository of archived scientific materials created by the workers of Silesian University of Technology.
The documents collected, are being placed in a thematically grouped hierarchical structure, facilitating the data access. Each department creates a teams that collect documents in their fields.
Repolis gathers author's materials in every field of knowledge, provided that they fulfil the scientifical work criteria, and published by the agreement of the Repolis Science Council.
SUoT's researchers,  whose works were created under performing their job duties, on terms of mutual benefit, and according to the ordinance no.  106/2022 by the Rector of Silesian University of Technology  on 6th June 2022, are obliged to contribute their in the Repolis. SUoT has the priority to publish them.

 


Repolis Science Council is an authority appointed according to §2 of the ordinance no.  106/2022 by the Rector of Silesian University of Technology  on 6th June 2022. The council consists of  representative a  delegated by each of the base units of SUoT. Within it's competence lies giving or denying agreement for public sharing of the materials stored in Repolis according to Repolis' regulations.
