The paper presents a numerical model of paraseismic kinematic excitations, making use of the Principal Component Analysis (PCA). This model was applied in the Monte – Carlo method in order to simulate kinematic excitations in the region of Polkowice in the Copper Mining District of Legnica and Głogów. The applied data, particularly those concerning time - spectral properties resulted from an analysis of actual accelerograms recorded in Polkowice in the course of quakes caused by mining activities. The paper also quotes the results of tests concerning the most important properties of the model and its validation basing on actual accelerograms. The model displays the predicted features and properties. The procedure of simulation will facilitate the prediction of extreme and probable kinematic excitation in this region.
