Abstract:

This paper refers to the attempt to explain the processes of societies aging through a combination of research practice and theory. Cities wishing to pursue the idea of sustainable development should respond to the new challenges they face, includ- ing the society aging. The aim of the author is to identify the main directions of urban development in the twenty-first cen- tury in relation to the theory of aging which originated from various scientific disciplines.
