Abstract:
In the monograph the theoretical and practical aspects of so-called substitute thermal capacity (STC) estimation are discussed. In the successive chapters the mathematical models of thermal processes proceeding in a casting–mould system are discussed, the descriptions of substitute thermal capacity in a form of piece–wise constant function and also a combination of bell–type ones are shown. Next the selected problems connected with the identification of cast iron parameters and the sensitivity analysis of transient temperature field with respect to perturbation of material parameters are presented (the sensitivity analysis is applied when the inverse problems are solved using the gradient algorithms).
